[00:00:07] In Jesus name. [00:00:09] My message today is called Continually Filled. [00:00:13] Continually Filled. I want to jump into a couple passages of scripture if you want to follow along in notes. I'm going to lightly use my notes, but there's a lot more that you can check out there. If you want to go further, you want to go deeper, you want to find out more about the Holy Spirit. [00:00:27] My goal today is not to inform you about the Holy Spirit or the baptism of the Holy Spirit as much, but really to inspire and awaken us to yield to him so that he can blow and breathe and do something special in our hearts and our church. I feel like we're in a pivotal time right now with what God's been doing the last several years with Kingdom Movement. We're moving into our first building. The Lord spoke to us about this building, I think, like seven or eight years ago, before Kingdom Movement ever was formed. [00:00:57] The Lord took Roman in the Spirit to this building, to this exact location. Didn't know what it was yet, but he showed him what it was going to be. And now we're in that space. We're already gathering there. We're going to start, you know, hopefully in the next coming months, our auditorium is going to be done for Holy Spirit Conference, and we're going to be there. But there's something that's happening that God is doing that I think that he wants us to respond to. [00:01:23] There's something happening and brewing. God's been doing something for years. [00:01:28] It's his story in the making, and I want to. I think he's inviting us to yield to it. He's been inviting me to yield to it. [00:01:35] And I believe today is gonna just be a spark towards that. We have our Holy Spirit Conference coming up in, I think, six weeks or so. So God's doing something awesome. And I want to talk about being continually filled, being renewed and refreshed by the Holy Spirit. I think in the life of believers, we often experience different measures or, I don't know, outpourings or touches of the Holy Spirit. But I think there's more. [00:02:00] There's more that the Lord wants to do. [00:02:04] The Holy Spirit was given not just to be in you, but to actually renew you, to continually fill you, to flow to you first, and then for that flow, that river, that living water, to flow through you, the work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, it's better that I go and the Holy Spirit comes. And a lot of people don't actually think that that is the best idea. Many believers think that it would be better if Jesus was physically still on the earth. How many think it would be better if physical Jesus was still on the earth? [00:02:41] But then we don't believe the words of Jesus. I know some of you are shy to raise your hand. That's okay. [00:02:46] Shy to be wrong in, you know, public. [00:02:49] But many people would think the physical Jesus on the earth is better. But he said it's not better. [00:02:56] There's a reason it's not better. [00:02:58] And, you know, we can't dig into all of that today. But I felt like the Lord wanted to awaken, revive and refresh us today. Have you ever felt spiritually dry? Have you ever felt weary or disconnected? Have you felt like you were showing up, but you're still feeling like you're missing the fire, you're kind of going on empty, you're serving, you're doing the right stuff, but you still feel there's more? Have you felt that way? Maybe you feel that way today. Today is your invitation for more. The Holy Spirit wants to revive those dry places. He wants to awaken hearts today. [00:03:37] In Joel, chapter two, this was the cry of the prophets. In the Old Testament, Jesus talked about this and then the early church. But in Joel chapter two, we have the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. And the Lord says, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, on all mankind. The sons, the daughters, the old, the young, everyone. [00:04:00] That's the desire of the heart of God. Isaiah 44:3 says that I will pour water on thirsty land, and on dry ground I will pour my spirit. [00:04:12] Are you thirsty? [00:04:14] Are you dry? [00:04:16] Hey, God actually doesn't mind dry. He has a promise for dry. There's an invitation for dry. He doesn't shame you for dry. He renews what's dry. [00:04:26] If you're dry, you're good soil for the Lord. [00:04:30] You know, I want to talk about being continually filled. I want to talk about life in the Spirit, because it actually looks like something and it feels like something. And In Romans, chapter 14, verse 17, it says that the kingdom of God is not eating or drinking, but it's righteousness. [00:04:46] It's peace and it's joy in the Holy Spirit. [00:04:52] Righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy spirit. [00:04:57] Romans chapter 8, verse 6 says that the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. [00:05:07] Can I tell you, if we're not experiencing. I'm talking to me. If we're not experiencing life and peace all the time, if we're not experiencing joy, righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Spirit, that we're not living in the fullness of what he has made for Christians, that there's more to that. He wants to awaken. There's more that he wants us to experience. I'm not saying we're not going to have problems. I'm not saying we're going to have difficult times. I'm not saying we're not. We're not going to go through any kind of, you know, relational issues or sicknesses or hard times. But I can tell you this. You can still experience life and peace, righteousness, peace and joy. [00:05:47] We can experience that. That's what the Lord died for. [00:05:52] Because we're not meant to live dry. We're not meant to live powerless. Jesus didn't just die for your sins to be forgiven. [00:06:00] He died so that you can experience righteousness, so that the tape in your mind starts to change. You're not beating yourself up with shame and saying, I'm not enough. What's wrong with me? I'm not doing enough. He wants to flip that script and say, no, you're righteous. You're enough. You're. You're the beloved. Start with that. Start with that thought and feeling. And then everything will grow from there. Cause that's what in the Holy Spirit life is about. I wanna talk about being continually filled with the Holy Spirit. [00:06:34] You know, there's four primary ways or four primary kind of positions of the Holy Spirit that we see in Scripture. And this is clear through there if you wanna check it out in the notes. I've also. I've also. I've done a lot of different teaching on the Holy Spirit. I love this topic. But on my YouTube channel a few years ago, I think I did like nine sessions that were like an hour and a half plus long on the Holy Spirit baptism of the Holy Spirit. The theology behind. I'm not gonna get into it now, but one thing that I found very interesting is four positions of the Holy Spirit. And a lot of believers stop at, like, position two or three for sure, and they don't go into the position four of the Holy Spirit. And that's what I think the invitation is. So the first position of the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit is with everyone. And that's believers and unbelievers. Why is the Holy Spirit with unbelievers? Because he's drawing them, he's convicting them. John 14 talks about the conviction of the world of sin that they would believe, right? John chapter 16 talks about that. John chapter 14 says this. Jesus said, I'm going to ask the Father. He's going to give you a Helper, that he may be with you forever. [00:07:38] That is the Spirit of truth. [00:07:40] But you know him because he abides with you and will be in you, right? So he's with everyone in the world, the Holy Spirit, whether you're a believer or not a believer, the Lord is with you. [00:07:52] You can confidently tell your non believing friends, man, the Lord has not abandoned you. He's with you. He's near to you. [00:08:00] He loves you. He's right beside you. He's speaking to you. [00:08:05] The Holy Spirit is with you. That's position one. Position two is the Holy Spirit is in you. And that happens when you're born again. Jesus said it like this, you know that, you know, we just read it in John 14:17, that he abides with you, but will be in you. Jesus was prophesying about the time when he was gonna leave, the Holy Spirit was gonna come and he was gonna breathe in that room where they were gathered after his death. He appears on his resurrection day, breathes on them, says, receive the Holy Spirit, Receive the Holy Spirit in you. The born again experience happened for the first time there. And so at your new birth, when you're born again, the Holy Spirit is deposited in you. 2 Corinthians 1, 22, 21 and 22 says this, that he sets his seal of ownership on us, puts his spirit in our hearts. Ezekiel 36 says, I will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my ways. The Lord says, when you're born again, my Spirit's not just going to be with you. He's going to come and make his home in your hearts, and he will cause you to walk in his ways. That's the promise of Ezekiel speaking about the new covenant. So powerful all believers have the Holy Spirit living in them, but I think few believers have the whole the river of life of the Holy Spirit constantly refreshing them, flowing to them and through them. And that is what the Lord is inviting us into. More believers. This year in 2026, the Lord put on our team's heart that we would see Christ formed in our church more, that we would come into maturity spiritual formation, that we would disciple the body of Christ into maturity. And I think one of the things that we miss in discipleship is we don't give people the fullness of what the Holy Spirit is on this earth to do. People love the Father, they talk about the Father, people love the Son, the, the work of the Son on the cross. They talk about his death, his burial, his resurrection, all that stuff. And sometimes we almost get stuck There we emphasize that. But actually Jesus left and he sent the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit is sometimes the most underemphasized, the least talked about. And like what happened after Jesus's death, burial, resurrection, ascension, that life in the Spirit is what we need to disciple our community into living in the Spirit by the Spirit, continually filled by the Spirit. So we'll get to that. And then I really want to make space and room for. For us to actually yield to that, because God wants to do something in our hearts. He wants to give us an upgrade. The third position of the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit coming upon you. And this is actually separate from salvation, because salvation is in. And then there's a pawn Jesus. During his water baptism, the Holy Spirit also came upon him. So Jesus was baptized with water. He was also baptized with the Holy Spirit. And he says, I'm gonna baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire as well. There's coming a time. But for now, Jesus was baptized Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, you know, like a dove and rests on him. And then Luke starts to say, now Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit, said this. So Jesus experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And then he promised this for us through that's Holy Spirit upon that, upon you. Now, many Christians I know have never experienced the third measure and outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which is the Holy Spirit upon them. And actually, if you look through the book of Acts, there's like seven or eight instances where like, people were saved. Especially in Samaria, in acts, I think 12 or something in Samaria, there was a group of people, they had already believed and were water baptized and were walking out their faith. And then Philip comes there and he's like, yo, you guys haven't received the Holy Spirit upon you? The baptism of the Holy Spirit. And so Peter and John are like, dude, we're joining this party. And Philip, Peter and John are like, wait, did you receive the Holy Spirit? No, we got to give you the Holy Spirit upon you experience. They were already saved. Holy Spirit in now Holy Spirit had to come upon. It was very important for the early church. It was very important for Paul. It was very important for Jesus. I mean, so much so that Jesus commanded the disciples that, hey, when I leave, you are not allowed to minister anymore. Like, you know, so when Jesus first came on the scene, the Holy Spirit baptized him, empowered him. The Father gave him this authority and power and to do everything. And the disciples were called to Jesus and Jesus gave him. Gave them his authority, his mantle, His Holy Spirit flow. And he. And he sent them out. They were casting out demons, healing all the sick, you know, casting out all demons. He give all authority, all power. And that was operating up until Jesus left. But then when he said, hey, I'm gonna ascend. You're not allowed to minister disciples because you were using my authority. Now you're gonna get your own measure. [00:12:47] Don't leave Jerusalem, but stay until you. You are clothed with power from on high. [00:12:55] So that was like, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is not like this bonus for charismatic Christians. They're like, sweet, you know, have this one moment. You get baptized with the Holy Spirit now. Awesome. You know, forget about it. No, it was essential for the early church for Jesus. Jesus didn't start ministry without baptism of the Holy Spirit, and he didn't let the disciples start their ministry after his ascension without the baptism of the Holy Spirit. So that's the Holy Spirit upon you. And then a lot of Christians, actually, they have that experience, and then they have the, you know, the. The evidence or the sign that follows that experience is people speaking in tongues. They get their heavenly prayer language, and then they kind of like, they think they're good. Like their package is done. Like, the Spirit was with me, now he's in me. Praise God. Now he's upon me. Praise God. You know, I got the bonus package. No, it's the essentials. [00:13:43] But we miss the most important one, which is the fourth position of the Holy Spirit, and that's the continual filling of the Holy Spirit. And this is what I believe, that the Holy Spirit's inviting us into the fourth position. [00:13:55] I'll read it in a couple instances. Acts 13, verse 52. It says, the disciples were continually filled, continually filled with joy, and with the Holy Spirit. They were continually filled with joy in the Holy Spirit. My favorite passage that talks about the continual filling is actually Ephesians 5:18. Ephesians 5:18 says this. It says. And it contrasts this concept. It says, don't be drunk with wine, which leads to, you know, wild living, you know, dissipation destroyed life. It'll kill your life. Don't get drunk like the world with wine. Instead, be filled. Contrast. The world's version of drunkenness is temporary, like anesthetizing the pain, getting that anesthetic to say, like, my life is really bad. It's hard, man. I don't want to face life. I'm just going to get drunk and I'm going to feel peace and joy for a Moment, but it's temporary. But it causes a lot more destruction when that little, you know, temporary anesthetic is over. You wake up from that anesthetic and your life is worse. [00:14:57] Don't do that. That's going to destroy your life. That's what Ephesians 5:18 says. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. Be filled. Don't be drunk like the world. Instead, be drunk with the Holy Ghost. I mean, that's kind of essentially the contrast that's being said. It's contrasting this drunkenness versus Holy Spirit, which is actually the real thing, which is actually life and peace. As believers, God's called us to experience life and peace all the time. [00:15:24] Righteousness, peace, and joy all the time. [00:15:28] Are we experiencing life and peace, righteousness, peace, and joy? [00:15:34] If not, we need the fourth measure of the Holy Spirit. [00:15:39] That's the constant renewing and filling. And this is the part where believers miss out on it. Now, I love Ephesians 5:18. I'm gonna nerd out on one Greek word here because there's so much juice here. The be filled with the spirit. It says, be filled with the spirit. I love how the International Standard Version says it isv. It says, keep on being filled with the spirit. You know why it translates it that way? Cause that Greek verb there is actually in present tense. And in Greek, the present tense doesn't mean like, hey, this happened. [00:16:08] It means that it's happened and happening. It's like a present ongoing. Like be continually filled. [00:16:18] Be continually. The Greek tense, literally. Here's how you can actually, like, just restate it. We just don't speak in English this way. It says, be continually being filled all the time. Be being filled. [00:16:32] So that's the present tense in the Greek. What's interesting as well about this verb about be filled is it's actually in the passive voice. What does that tell us, those of you that aren't Greek scholars? It just means that the action's not happening by us, it's happening to us. [00:16:47] We're passively receiving. So who's the filler with the Holy Spirit? [00:16:52] He is. He doesn't say, hey, Vic, fill yourself up every time you're dry. [00:16:58] I don't got it, but he has it. And he says, no, just come and yield. I'll always fill you. Come and be filled. Be the recipient of the filling. [00:17:10] So it's present tense. So it's supposed to be continuous. It's passive voice, meaning we're not active participants in the fact that we're not doing the filling. We're just yielding and saying, I'm gonna drink. [00:17:22] He's always pouring. We're just not drinking. Can I tell you guys, the problem is not. We're not striving enough or trying enough. We're not yielding enough. [00:17:32] Can I tell you, it's so important that we start to yield more. [00:17:36] Like, you know, oftentimes in Christianity, we're like, hey, bro. Like, don't strive. You're a son. Don't strive. Don't strive. Don't strive. And there's truth there. Don't strive. Yield. But then there's also the other side of it, which when the Bible talks about, like, all throughout the New Testament, there's like, I don't know, a good number of verses I've been studying for the last few years where it says, strive, strive, strive, strive. We don't talk about the good striving, but there's actually, you know, that's a message I've been developing for, you know, a while. One day I'll probably get to share with you guys as the Holy Spirit leads. But so there's this striving. That's beautiful. But what we often do is we put in our human effort. But can I tell you that the human effort we're supposed to put in is to yield to Him. [00:18:16] So. And then the other thing about this cool Greek verb is it's actually in the imperative mood. Meaning, like, it's a command. It's not a suggestion. [00:18:23] Be continually filled. Be continually filled. This is a command. [00:18:30] You're the recipient. And it's supposed to happen ongoing, not just one time, but a lifestyle. Can I tell you, have you felt dry? [00:18:38] Have you felt weary? Have you felt empty? [00:18:42] Could it be that we're not continually being filled? [00:18:46] That we're not experiencing peace and joy? That we're not experiencing righteousness, peace and joy? We're not experiencing life and peace? The mind of the Spirit is life and peace. [00:18:58] Romans 8. 6. The mind of the Spirit, Life and peace. [00:19:05] Is there life and peace in your home, your marriage, in your parenting, in your job, with your boss? [00:19:16] Because God didn't say he's gonna fix all the circumstances around you, but you will be in life and peace all the time. [00:19:23] It don't matter what your spouse is doing to you, not doing for you, you can still have life in peace. You know how that river of the Holy Spirit inside you. Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit, and. And he talked about this. This. This river that's inside of us. So I want to pivot here to kind of the Main part here, but speaking in tongues, this gift that's given to us, when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, which, you know, not all believers have that. Some believers stopped at position two, Holy Spirit's in them. Some believers stopped at position three, Holy Spirit upon them and speaking in tongues. But the continually filled. Actually, he's given us a tool for that. And. And it's actually speaking in tongues and letting the river of the Holy Spirit come upon you, bubble up inside of you and overtake you. [00:20:09] Speaking in tongues is not a. It's not a function of your mind or your mouth. It's actually a function of your spirit opening up the rivers of living water. Jesus said that out of your innermost being is going to flow rivers of living water. Next verse this. He said, speaking of the Holy Spirit. [00:20:28] So instead, I'm gonna give you the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit's not just gonna give you power. With baptism, oftentimes we talk about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and it's all about power and boldness. Actually, it's more than that. It's actually communion intimacy. And it's the pathway, it's the key pathway to this overflowing, bubbling over life that causes peace and joy and righteousness and life. [00:20:55] It's the overflow. And a lot of believers stop at position two or three and don't get to four. [00:21:04] But God gave us this personal language, this communion with God that's meant to do something in us. And it's interesting, speaking in tongues. How many of you, you're baptized with the Holy Spirit, you speak in tongues. [00:21:19] That's something that you've experienced. Awesome. If you haven't, there's an opportunity for you to get that. It's actually for everyone. [00:21:26] Peter in. When he's preaching in Acts, chapter 2, verse 38 and 39, he says this promise, this Holy Spirit. He quoted the Joel 2 passage. In the last days, God's going to pour out a spear on all flesh. Pour out, you know, on all of them, upon them, he's going to pour out a spirit not just in them, but upon them. Different position. And he says this promise, the gift of the Holy Spirit is for you and your children and all who are far off, anyone who's going to come to the Lord. That's what scripture says. [00:21:55] So if you don't have this, this the full measure, then God wants to actually give you more. [00:22:06] I have a car, and it's. It's a Prius. It's awesome. But it's four cylinders now, a Prius on four cylinders is already that. It needs all four. Four. It actually probably needs more than four, but it has four. Can I tell you, if one of those cylinders goes out, I ain't gonna probably make it up the hill off my driveway in my Washougal river house. [00:22:24] But if. If another cylinder goes out and I'm on two cylinders, man, game over for that Prius. [00:22:30] Ain't nothing gonna help now, right? Why? Because we're not meant to like that. Prius is meant to operate on two cylinders or three. It's meant to operate on four, all. A lot of Christians, their. Their life isn't working. They're not experiencing righteousness, they're not experiencing joy, not experiencing peace, they're not experiencing life and peace. Why, they're only operating on two cylinders. Holy Spirit's in them or three cylinders, the Holy Spirit's upon them. But what about the Holy Spirit continually filling you? What about the bubbling over the overflow, the river of life? The Lord wants that for us as the body of Christ, he wants that overflow. He wants to awaken something. And he's given us this language. It's this spiritual language, but to man, it sounds like gibberish. And, you know, Christians debate this whole thing, the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues is it for everyone. There's all this theological cessationism, continuationism, all this stuff. But it's so interesting that no one's like, you know, I mean, some people are. I mean, in heresy, people, you know, debate the deity of Jesus and all that stuff. But in general, Christians accept all the stuff about Jesus, all the stuff about the Father, but when it comes to the Holy Spirit, the enemy intentionally wants to block you from experiencing life and peace, because if he lost you to his kingdom and you're in the kingdom of God, you're saved, you're born again, you're a believer, you have eternal life. He's lost you, but he wants to disrupt you by not letting you have peace or joy. He wants you to have fear. He wants you to have anxiety, he wants you to have worry. He wants you to have relational tension. He wants your marriage to not go good, and it's going to eat your lunch and destroy you and your boss and your work and your kids and all the stuff in your life, and he wants it to really hurt you so that all you can be focusing on is you and your condition and never do anything to let that river of God out of you flow. [00:24:13] A lot of Christians, their whole life is about managing their mess. [00:24:18] Peace and joy, rivers of Living water. [00:24:24] That seems like a distant thing. And the Lord's been inviting me to this. He's like, vicious. [00:24:29] Do you experience life and peace all the time? [00:24:33] Is the tape in your head righteousness, or is it, like, beating yourself up? And I'm just like, lord, help me. I'm going to put in the work. [00:24:42] I'm going to strive to yield to just be filled. [00:24:48] I'm going to strive to just yield because you've done the work, Lord. I'm going to strive to just yield and let you love me and let you wash me and let you give me joy and peace and life. [00:25:00] That's our inheritance. That's the thing God wants to do in this season in our church. And he's given us this thing called speaking in tongues. That's supposed to be this river that wakes us up, that bubbles us over. And it's foolishness to the world. It's foolishness to a lot of church people. I mean, some people in church will tell you, like, dude, like, that they'll. I mean, some. Some will call it possessed by. By the devil. Some will call it, like, just absolute gibberish. But God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. He uses the. The childish babblings of babies and kids to say, like, that is where I'm going to meet you, and I'm gonna come and I'm gonna touch you. I'm gonna. Deep is gonna cry out to deep. First Corinthians, chapter two talks about the deep things of God being revealed by the Spirit. But. But oftentimes we haven't tapped into that spirit flow in our life. A lot of Christians are dry. They're showing up, they're faithful, but there's no juice, there's no flavor on their life. [00:26:01] They're bland. [00:26:03] There is a sauce and a seasoning and some, you know, spices that God wants to add to your life where it's not bland, where there's actually joy and peace, and that's the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the overflow flow of the Holy Spirit and I. And. And I think we need to yield to it. I think we need to go back to what God called us to do at first, to put in those rhythms. You know, one of the things that I do weekly is I teach Kingdom Women School of Ministry. And I get. I love to teach, and I love teaching all this stuff. This year, I'm teaching theology. I've been teaching theology for the last few years. But one of the things that we started implementing this year, last semester, I was on a sabbatical, getting restored in my soul. And so Bogdan was teaching my theology class for me. One of the things he did, he's like, I just found that the students, you know, two hours of theology, they just had so many questions. It was hitting their head. It was causing confusion. He's like, you know what we're gonna do? We're gonna take the first five minutes of class, and before we get into scripture, before we get into theology, I'm just gonna have everyone stand up and pray in tongues for five minutes. Why? Because we want to. I need them to. I needed to go beyond their understanding. And I need. I need the Lord to, like, meet them and hit them right there in. In the gut, in the innermost being, because I want this word to come and awaken them, to shake them up. And I was like, wow, you did that? He's like, yeah, class went so good. Different, like, people were just getting impartations, blasted by God. I'm like, I've never done that in five years. And so I. I took my class back over this semester, and guess what? We're doing five minutes before we get into Bible study and the Word and theology. Everyone stand up. Let's just pray in the Holy Spirit. [00:27:32] And the thing is, is, like, sometimes what we do is we get level three of the. Of the expression or impartation of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit comes upon us, and then we, like, use tongues. Almost like, as a religious, like, fill in ritual, like, we don't know what to do. We'll just kind of, like, mindlessly just speak in tongues. I know a lot of people that do that. They just mindlessly speak in tongues. Can I tell you, there is not power in that, because it's not a function of your mind or your mouth. It's actually a function of the river opening up and the deep things. Things of God in the deep part of you saying, we're one, it's the. It's where the Spirit and the bride say, come, I want you. I want to commune with you. Can I tell you, speaking tongues is meant to turn on this river. So when on Monday mornings before we get into theology at 9am like, stand. Stand up. Let's pray in the spirit. But don't do it with your mind. Don't do it with your mouth. Do it with your. Do it with your innermost being. Turn on the river of God. Let the river, river of God start to flow, and you commune with him. Can I tell you even five minutes of that in my personal life, five minutes of not just like the. The rote religious, kind of like memorized, just speaking in tongues that comes from my mind sometimes. Not that that doesn't seem that helpful to me. But I'm telling you, when I just start to worship God and then that river turns on, I get the most revelation direction from God and insight, communion, fellowship. There's something that's like, whoa, God starts to talk to me. Many of you guys, you read the Bible, but you read it in English. It's time to read it in the Holy Ghost. [00:29:08] Smith Wigglesworth said, some read the Bible in Greek, some in Hebrew, but I read it in the Holy Ghost. [00:29:15] It's time for us to not just turn on our mind and our natural understanding, but it's time to turn on that river of the Spirit that he's given us. But Christianity and religion will fight it and say, dude, this is foolishness. Just be a closet tongue talker. No, but there's something there. [00:29:33] There's something there. The prophets prophesied. They said that through stammering lips and an unknown tongue, he's going to declare his wisdom and his mysteries. That Paul connected his praying in tongues. He says, I speak in tongues more than you all. He says, I wish you all spoke in tongues. He said, do not forbid speaking in tongues. He was so adamant about it. You can read all about it in the notes. But why? Because he connected, knowing God, the mysteries. How did he know that he spoke in tongues more than everyone? Because he had more revelation, more mysteries revealed, wrote more scripture than anyone. What is he connected to? If you follow the thread he followed it to, he connected it to speaking in tongues. Because he would turn on the river instead of just the intellect. Because his first teacher, Gamaliel, the teacher of Israel, learned him how to use this. And then guess what happens when he's on the road to Damascus? He gets hit by the light. And the first thing God does when he opens his eyes, he gets him baptized with the Holy Spirit. And he's like, I'm going to teach you a new language, Paul. I love your mind, and it's real great, but I'm gonna teach you the language of the Spirit. And Paul all of a sudden is like, wait, what? [00:30:44] Something woke up in him and he's like, I guarantee you I speak in tongues more than you all. You know why? Because I got more revelation than you all. And God's just using me to write more scripture than you all. [00:30:56] Revelation, intimacy, communion, direction of God is connected to that river of Life flow flowing out of you and overflowing from you. And many Christians have no clue about that. [00:31:10] We make decisions with our mind absent from the river of life that's supposed to actually make decisions. God's like, hey, unless you humble yourself and be like a child, you can't even enter the kingdom. What if the secret in this childish nonsense babbling is the secret language of heaven, where, like, heaven and earth become one. It's like almost like Eden restored through speaking in tongues. [00:31:35] Because, you know, heaven and earth were separated because of the fall. Sin came and separated Eden because Eden is not a physical place. It was the place where God was walking with men, where heaven and earth were one. They were like the two were one thing. And that's what's happening in Revelation 22. Heaven's going to come the throne of God from heaven to Earth. It's going to be a union again, the restoration of Eden. But so sin separated that. And then guess what started to happen? Chaos. And then guess what started to happen at the Tower of babel in Genesis 11. The people out of this chaos, out of the separation of heaven and earth, are starting to like wanting to defy God. They're trying to build a tower and say, we can do this, we can do this, we can do this. And God's like, whoa, Actually they can. Whatever they decide to do in unity, one language, one heart, one mind, they're going to do it. So what did God do? He takes the languages and he separates them all. Why? So there's no unity. [00:32:23] So in Genesis 11, you have the separation of tongues so that the separation of heaven and earth doesn't continue to get worse and worse. And what does God do when he's going to restore all things? He comes back. He. He. He lives for three and a half years, does ministry, and then he says, listen, I'm going to reunite what was divided in, in Genesis chapter 11 with the Babel. I'm going to reunite it and I'm going to give all believers one time tongue. [00:32:50] And it's going to be the secret power of language. And I'm going to take what was divided and what separated. I'm going to put it back together. And you're going to come in this heaven touching earth reality. Why is it that sometimes our circumstances still eating our lunch and destroying our life? Because heaven and earth aren't touching in our mind. [00:33:09] We're still thinking about Earth. And God's like, get in the spirit, get in the river, get into the childish unknown tongues, the babbling, but don't do it just with your mind or your mouth. Get in the river. [00:33:26] I remember when God was calling us. We were living in California, and the rest of the shiny leadership team was living up here. And then we met all on the east coast at this conference. God was moving. God started to speak to us, and he started to speak to us about planting a kingdom, A movement in the kingdom. Kingdom in the Northwest, in Vancouver. It didn't make sense. The other two couples were from Vancouver. That breaks all church rules. You don't do that. And then we're in Ventura. I'm like, there's two places I told God I'd never go. Spokane, where I grew up. In Vancouver, where Anastasia grew up. [00:33:55] So the Lord started to speak, and I started getting fear and anxiety. Why? Because I was here. And then the Lord's like, get in the river, you big hippo. [00:34:07] And I would get back in the cloud. [00:34:09] I'd get my head back in the cloud. And all of a sudden it was like, whoa, God, this is you. And it would be awesome. Until I pivoted again and I got back into my mind. Well, how is it gonna work? Well, that's not gonna work. Well, another church. Another church in the same city like that. No, no, no. Like, not doing this. I'm not gonna be a part of that. [00:34:29] And I would have fear in my mind. But peace and life in the spirit. [00:34:35] Man, we make way too many decisions from here instead of from the Holy Spirit. [00:34:42] The Lord wants to give you inheritances, but you can't receive them because of this. [00:34:46] It gets in the way. I'm not saying your mind is bad. Your mind is beautiful. But only yield it to the Holy Spirit. Because the mind set on the flesh is death. [00:34:54] But the mind of the Spirit, Life and peace. Life and peace. God wants to get you life and peace in every sphere of your life. I'm telling you, he's not the problem. [00:35:05] And more effort isn't the problem. We're not yielding to the river. [00:35:12] Brothers and sisters. It's time to awaken the river again. [00:35:18] I don't care what people say. I don't care how foolish it looks. Because God's into the. The foolish child stuff. He just has been all along. [00:35:27] Everyone else was like, no, get the children away. No, give me the children. [00:35:31] Oh, the children. They're just nonsense. No, the. The kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. God wants us to go back into a little bit of humility and childness again. [00:35:40] Humility. Looking like a fool. [00:35:43] Can we stand up? And we're Going to yield and respond to God. [00:36:02] The Lord wants to restore life and peace and joy to the body of Christ. The Lord wants to restore the spark of the fire to the body of Christ. He doesn't want us to be dry and weary. [00:36:12] We've lost our first love. And in Revelation, chapter two, Jesus says, I have this against you. You've lost your fire. You've lost your love. And he says this. Remember where you've fallen from. Remember how you burned. Remember how you love me. Remember how it was easy to say yes to that person and outreach and do that and talk to strangers and obey me. Remember. Remember. Remember how you burned in prayer. Remember how your hearts were burning when you were in the Scriptures. Remember. Remember. Remember. I have this against you. You've lost something. I want you to first remember. And then he says, I want you to repent. Repent. [00:36:48] Repent. Repent of the apathy. Repent of the slow drift. Repent of the stuff that got you distracted. Repent of that Turn. [00:36:57] Change your mind. And then he says, do the things you did, which is re engage. Re engage with the things that you did at first. Re Engage with the fasting. Re Engage with getting in the river with God. Re engage with getting out of just your carnal mind, your natural mind, your. Your carnal way of thinking the flesh apart from God and get into the Spirit. [00:37:19] What is the Spirit saying? Not what is your boss or your spouse or your mom or your paycheck or your bank account saying. What is the spirit of God saying? [00:37:35] Remember where you've fallen from. I want your first love again. [00:37:40] Repent and re engage with those activities you did at first. [00:37:45] Spirit filled believers, it's time to turn on the river again. I live by a river. God's gimme a lot of revelations about rivers, but it's time for the river again. [00:37:53] I think the Lord pulled me by a river because he's like, hey, I want you to be a river kind of a guy. [00:37:57] This year at Kingdom Movement School of Ministry, we kind of re pivoted the name of the school to like a river school, not a school of ministry. It's a school of the river. It's time to awaken the river of God. That brings. That brings. [00:38:15] Ah, the river of God. What does it say in Psalms? Like, it brings joy. It brings delight. Drinking from the river of his delight. [00:38:29] Can we just pray in the spirit church? Can we just pray in the Spirit? If you want to get baptized in the Holy Spirit, just come. That gift is for you. If you want to just get awakened. You want the Holy Spirit to come. You want him to refresh you. You want him to recharge you. You want life again to flow to you. You want life and peace and joy to rule in your life, in your mind, in your home, in your finances, in your relationships. Come on. There is something that sounds a little childish, sounds a little childlike. Sounds like foolishness. It doesn't make sense to your mind. But it's a key for life in the Spirit. Life in the Spirit. Life in the Spirit is life and peace. The mind on of the Spirit is life and peace. [00:39:11] Let's just get into the river and yield to God for the next few moments. Holy Spirit, we love you. [00:39:17] Holy Spirit, we need you. [00:39:20] Holy Spirit, we want you. [00:39:23] Holy Spirit. Spirit, we repent. Where we shun you, where we criticized you, where we. [00:39:28] Where we squelched you, where we. [00:39:33] Where we've offended, where we've grieved you. Holy Spirit, we. We repent. [00:39:38] We repent. And we are a people of the Spirit. We're a church of the Spirit. We're a church of the river, of living water. Not strategies and plans. Plans and this and that. No, we hear God and we jump off of cliffs and we obey. We don't do what makes sense. We do what God says. [00:39:58] We don't do what adds up mathematically. We do what God says. We do what God. What adds up mathematically. Until God speaks and then we don't do that. [00:40:08] We do that. We do that until God speaks and then we forget everything we know and we just do what God says. [00:40:17] Get in the river, Church. Let's get in the river every day. Let's get in the river. [00:40:29] Tongues is your communion with God. It's a secret language. No one else can understand it. You're talking to God. You and God, you and God. You and God. [00:40:46] Have your way. God, sweep us away in your river. Sweep us in your river. Sweep us away, God. The rivers of living water flow to us and through us. In the name of Jesus. [00:41:04] Thank you for joining Kingdom Movement online. I pray and hope that that sermon impacted you deeply. I would love if you shared this with a few friends and family. And before you go, don't forget to subscribe. See you next week.
