[00:00:00] Foreign.
[00:00:08] Jump into the Word, dive into the Word. And I, I want to encourage us to approach the Scriptures with humility because it's easy to just hear the Word and never do it.
[00:00:25] And the Bible says first for us not to just be hearers, but doers. And if we position our heart that way, what happens is it creates need in us. Because when we look at the Scriptures and where there's areas of our life that don't align with what God is saying, it creates need. And that need is a form of hunger. And the beauty is the hungry will be fed. Jesus is here to feed the hungry. And these scriptures can become bread to us right here in this service. So I, I want you to posture your heart for all of us to do that and just approach the Scriptures with humility and need. Because we want to be transformed. We don't want to be informed, we want to be transformed. And so would you just bow your heads right where you are? Lord, we. We thank you for these words that are inspired by the Holy Spirit, that are your very breath, that these words carry life. And we ask you, Holy Spirit, to give us revelation of these words that you would cause life in us, that you would speak to us. Because faith doesn't come from reading, faith doesn't come from studying. Faith comes by hearing and hearing from the Word. So we ask you, Holy Spirit, would you speak to us in Jesus name?
[00:01:44] Amen.
[00:01:46] All right, if you have your Bibles, if you can open with me to Philippians chapter 2, verse 5. Philippians chapter 2, verse 5.
[00:02:09] Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
[00:02:17] This, this word mind is let this attitude be in you that was in Christ. Let this way of life be in you as it was in Christ.
[00:02:28] Let this way of thinking be in you, as it was in Christ, who being the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond servant and coming in the likeness of man.
[00:02:55] You know, this word bond, servant is a special word. And when you think of slaves, it's a little bit different in the Old Testament, because a lot of the slaves in the Old Testament, you know, there was no bankruptcy back then. And so if you had a great debt and someone paid that debt for you, you would become a slave to them for seven years, like a servant to them for seven years.
[00:03:22] And after you served for seven years, you would be released and free to go.
[00:03:28] And, and a bond servant is someone who served the seven years and now has the freedom to Leave, because the debt is settled after the seven years of slavery.
[00:03:39] But he realizes and recognizes that the master is good and the price that the master paid is way higher than the seven years of wages that he worked for the master. And so what he does is he willingly chooses to become a bond servant.
[00:04:01] Which is, which is not serving someone, it's now belonging to someone, a bond servant.
[00:04:10] And even in the scriptures, it's interesting that when the Bible says that God took on the form being God took on the form of a bond servant, it's not talking about something that he's doing, it's actually talking about his nature.
[00:04:29] So when, when Jesus the God man took on that form, he began to reveal the nature of God.
[00:04:39] It's not something we do, it's who we are.
[00:04:44] And so a bond servant is someone who served the seven years and now willingly chooses to be a slave to his master, laying down his will, laying down his life.
[00:04:57] I don't know if you guys ever heard of this movement. It was a movement that was known for releasing the most amount of missionaries per capita into the world. And it was the Moravians.
[00:05:13] And you know, there was a story there where two missionaries had this desire and passion to, to reach the unreached people. And they were on an island and there was no way to get to them, but they wanted to reach them, they wanted to preach the gospel to them. And the only way they could access that people group was to become slaves forever to this tribe in with the desire and the hopes to, to reach them with the gospel.
[00:05:43] What a sacrifice, right? What, what a, what a, what a, what a way to, to lay everything down for the cause of Christ. And so as they were releasing these two missionaries, and I'm sure people were observing and maybe weeping and maybe saying goodbye, maybe thinking we'll never see them again.
[00:06:04] And as they were leaving, these missionaries didn't want to be remembered for their sacrifice.
[00:06:12] And there is this phrase that they said as they were departing. They said, worthy is the lamb to receive the full reward of his sufferings.
[00:06:23] In other words, a bond servant doesn't want to talk about what he's doing.
[00:06:29] A bond servant doesn't want to make known the things that he's doing because he's a slave.
[00:06:35] Bond servants point to what Jesus Christ has done.
[00:06:40] And so they didn't want to be remembered for their sacrifice. They wanted people to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that was paid for us.
[00:06:50] And that's the bond servant definition there.
[00:06:57] And then later on in this chapter, in verse 17, Paul actually writes this. And he says, yes, and if I'm being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice.
[00:07:14] So he's referring to himself as like the wine being poured out on the existing sacrifice, that his sacrifice is not the real sacrifice.
[00:07:25] His sacrifice is adding to the sacrifice that was made.
[00:07:30] And he's actually pointing to numbers 15, five, where it talks about wine being poured out on the sacrifice in the Old Testament. And so what he's saying is what I'm doing, the sacrifice I'm making, the life that I'm living is actually just wine on the sacrifice that was made. And he's talking to the church there, but also talking to the ultimate sacrifice that was made, the ultimate price that was paid, which was our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
[00:08:08] And so he says he took on.
[00:08:16] The form of a bond servant.
[00:08:20] And he didn't use his, like, privileges.
[00:08:26] He didn't use his status to be served, even though he was God. And so the fact that God took on this form, it didn't make him less God.
[00:08:38] He was still God. And so many people serve because they don't know who they are.
[00:08:44] But Jesus served and laid down his life knowing exactly who he is.
[00:08:55] And this, this, This passage here continues and says, and he took on the likeness of man, and being found in appearance as a man, humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death and even death on the cross.
[00:09:21] So here comes Jesus, who has every ability to be entitled to service.
[00:09:30] He has wisdom, he has power, he has wealth, chooses to use nothing of his status and position and becomes a humble servant of, and someone who submitted to such a degree that he obeys to the point of death and even death on the cross.
[00:09:51] You know, there was a time when I was leading a life group and it happened to be just a group of young guys and they were all kind of entrepreneurs and passionate about business and feeling called to the marketplace. It just kind of naturally happened that way. And in that season, I was invited to this small circle gathering.
[00:10:13] And so we flew out there and I had the privilege of being in that room and in that small group of people, there was a group of billionaires, maybe four to seven of them that, that were there. And so I had a chance to meet them and talk to them and, and all that. So when I flew back, I was having my, my group meeting and they wanted to ask me and they're like, hey, what was it like? What was it like being with billionaires in the room? What was it like talking to them? What did they talk about how, how did they behave? They were so interested. And as they were asking me the question, I was thinking about it and I was like, wow. I found them serving.
[00:10:53] I found them serving a cause greater than themselves. I found them opening doors. And in fact, when I met them, I didn't know that that's who they were because they didn't talk about themselves.
[00:11:04] They were interested in me, they were interested in my story, they were interested in the way I encountered God. And, and, and so I found them serving. And that's what bond servants do.
[00:11:17] It's not about what they do, it's about what they're able to steward for God and the way they're able to advance the kingdom for his name's sake.
[00:11:28] In Mark, chapter 10, verse 42, it says this, but Jesus called them to himself and said to them, you know, that those who are considered rulers over Gentiles, lorded over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
[00:11:49] And by the way, like, God never gave us this commission to like, control and rule over people.
[00:12:01] When, when, when God created man in Genesis, he gave them authority and dominion. But it wasn't over people, it was over animals. It was over everything that creeps on the earth. And it was over the, the earth, the seed. And he says, be fruitful and multiply, Fill the earth and subdue it.
[00:12:20] And so the system of this world lords over people. And that's what he's saying, hey, with you guys, this is not the way it should be.
[00:12:29] You're not called to control people, to lord over people, to be authoritative over people. You're called to serve them.
[00:12:37] And so he's pointing to a system that's completely wrong.
[00:12:41] And he continues in verse 43, and it shall not be among you, but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.
[00:12:54] And whoever of you desires to be first shall be a slave of all. There's that, there's that word again, slave.
[00:13:04] In our mind, this could sound negative, but what he's pointing to is actually a response to a conversation about the two disciples asking how to achieve the highest positions, to be at his right hand and at his left hand.
[00:13:18] And he's saying, if you want to reach greatness in the kingdom, become a slave.
[00:13:24] Not a popular word, not the definition of modern day leadership.
[00:13:32] And he says, be a slave of all, for even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many.
[00:13:51] There's a quote by Francis Chan, I missed it earlier, that really spoke to me it says our greatest fear should not be of failure, but of succeeding at things in life that don't really matter, That the way to greatness actually looks different.
[00:14:18] And I want to throw up. Actually, just at first service, I got to meet this lady.
[00:14:29] Her name is Amber.
[00:14:30] And I shared a little bit about her after conference. But she had a passion to, like, serve people at the conference and come. And I don't know if you're here for second service. If you're here, just wave at me.
[00:14:43] Amber. No. Okay. She was at first service this morning, but she had this passion to, like, serve people. And she's very gifted with people, very talkative, and she wanted to be, like, in the host team or maybe in the ministry team, just closer to all the action.
[00:14:58] And she signed up, and, you know, when you sign up to volunteer, you can kind of check off the box that where you want to serve and parking lot ministry is not what she checked.
[00:15:08] But, you know, after she filled out the form to serve at conference, she was contacted, and they asked her to serve on the parking team.
[00:15:16] And so she kind of felt like, well, I didn't check that box. I don't know what they're asking me. I don't want to be on the parking team. And she said. I felt like the Lord said to just humble yourself and to serve.
[00:15:29] And so she. She humbled herself. And she's like, the Lord just showed me this picture. You're going to be a donkey for me. Like, you're gonna. You're gonna take a lowly position for me.
[00:15:39] And so when she. When she took that. Because there's something about what we do, we do unto the Lord, and it just changes the way we do it. And so she joined the parking lot team and actually started coming, and she walked the building and prayed for that whole territory and anointed it with oil. And she was praying for the conference for people to encounter God. So as she came to the parking, God began to give her all these words of knowledge. And I didn't know about her, but after conference, so many people came up to me and said, hey, I encountered God in the parking lot. And I'm like, in the parking lot? He's like, there's this lady. She was prophesying, releasing words of knowledge, you know, speaking words of life and reading my mail.
[00:16:24] And she's like, I. I wrote through that thing twice to pick up the kids, and I, you know, kind of double dipped, and I got two separate words, and they were so accurate. And he's like, I realized she's not just repeating the same thing. God is literally giving her words for people.
[00:16:38] And so God began to use her in the parking lot to encounter people.
[00:16:43] I love how Mother Teresa said this. She said maybe we, we're not all like going to do something really great, but we can do something small with great love, right? And there's something about, there's something about not passing by the small things because I think some of us, we, we have this idea of serving that's attached to this kind of other secret motive or agenda. Like I want to serve closer to where my calling is.
[00:17:17] I want to serve in the green room, to be next to pastors because God's called me to preach, or I want to serve in the ministry team because I know God gave me a gift of healing.
[00:17:27] And so we kind of attach this idea of service for sort of like self gain in a way for a good cause.
[00:17:35] And what we do with that is we actually don't become, because that's still what we do. We don't become bond servants and we miss opportunities.
[00:17:53] You know, I was, I was, when I started traveling, I was working really hard to kind of work my way up to the status with the airline.
[00:18:03] And it was, what do you call it, the medallion, platinum something, diamond medallion. And so it's kind of the highest, you know, whatever status with the airline. And, and I finally reached it and I started getting those upgrades to first class. And you know, when you start to experience first class for the first time, it really feels like open heavens. It just, you feel the presence of God. It just, it's different there. It's like the same airplane, but the atmosphere is just different. They, I didn't know you have options for dinner and like all that stuff.
[00:18:35] And I'm like a very efficient kind of guy. So even if I have the money, I still buy like the economy ticket.
[00:18:42] And so, but I started getting upgrade not because I was paying for it, but because I had the status. And it's so easy to start to feel entitled because now I have status. And so this, you know, I, I feel entitled to a specific service.
[00:18:59] And it's interesting that here actually the Bible says in Philippians that Jesus had the status, but he, he didn't take advantage of any of his points.
[00:19:09] And so anyway, I'm in first class, enjoying myself and I sat down. I was flying from a conference, bunch of services, I don't know, preached like six times. And I was doing a late night flight home just to be here on Sunday morning.
[00:19:24] So I was exhausted I'm like, okay, first class upgrade.
[00:19:28] Praise God. I'm gonna get some rest. And as I'm sitting there, this lady is helping an elderly woman kind of sit down. I realized it was her mom, and she. She could barely walk. And so she. She kind of sat her down next to me, and she said, okay, mom, are you gonna be okay here by yourself? I'm gonna go to my seat. If you need anything, let me know. I'm right there. And she's like, where are you gonna be? She's like, yeah, I'm gonna be right there. They didn't upgrade me. They just upgraded you. So, you know. And so then I'm like, oh, man. So I just put my headphones on not to hear the rest of it.
[00:20:01] Started feeling convicted. I was like, I better stick these in.
[00:20:08] No, that only lasted for, like, three seconds. I knew. I knew what I was supposed to do. And so I said, excuse me, ma'. Am. Like, why don't I. Why don't I take your seat and you sit with your mom?
[00:20:20] Because it would be great for you to stay with your mom and help her out. And she said, really? No, you don't have to do that. And I said, no, no, I want to do that.
[00:20:29] And she said, okay.
[00:20:31] And I'm like, so you just. Yeah, show me where you're sitting. And, you know, I fly a lot, but I'm okay wherever. As long as it's an aisle seat, I'm okay. Like, even if it's closer to the toilets, I'm okay with that.
[00:20:44] But I absolutely. I don't like windows so much, but I really don't like the middle seat. Seat.
[00:20:51] And she happened to be sitting in the middle seat, and so I kind of sat in there, and I just. I felt like my flesh was feeling it. But, you know. You know, when you do something right, you just feel fulfilled and you just feel. Feel joy. So I feel really happy about what I did. I feel like God was pleased with me.
[00:21:11] And as I'm sitting there, we take off and. And a few minutes into the flight, the flight attendant comes to me and says, hey, sir, we. We know you gave up your seat. And we actually. We. We have a. Another seat in first class. We'd like. We'd like to switch you to first class. And I said, oh, wow, thank you. I thought they didn't have seats.
[00:21:33] And so they take me to the very first row of the first class. And, you know, I sit down and they give me the dinner menu and all this stuff, and right away, just all these scriptures, like, the last will be first. And just. And I was like, God is faithful. You know, when you're Christian for a long time, you get like Christianese. And so I had all these revelations and scriptures. I was like building my new sermon, you know.
[00:21:57] But what I didn't know. So that next day I got an email. What I didn't know that it's actually against policy. Like airlines will not allow you to trade seats when you have first class.
[00:22:08] Like, I couldn't even give my seat to my wife if I wanted to. If she's not on, on the name of that seat, you can't do that. And so I didn't know that, like that was against policy.
[00:22:20] But the email they sent me was recognizing what I did. And what they said was actually what you did is what we were supposed to do.
[00:22:32] And we missed that because we missed like serving people right. That, that wasn't right of us to do. But you caught that. And because you caught that, we, we want to give you. I forget what it was like 75,000mile bonus credit, you know, for. So using my status went even, you know, a little wealthier, got a little bit more miles.
[00:22:56] And you know what's crazy, Some this small act of service changed a policy in one of the largest airline companies in America.
[00:23:09] Wow.
[00:23:11] And. And I think when. When we, when we kind of box out this idea of like being a servant and, and it looks like, you know, something that I feel called to rather than who I'm becoming, then, then what we'll do is we'll pass by the small opportunities, the small moments that are actually in our path to become great.
[00:23:38] God wants you to become great. And he's showing us how. He's saying, if you want to be great, become a slave of all.
[00:23:47] So unpopular.
[00:23:51] I want to share about a lady that impacted my life in a great way.
[00:24:02] She lived in our neighborhood when I was growing up. I was a teenager.
[00:24:06] And some of you who know my story, like, I had a troubled teenage life.
[00:24:12] Arrested, you know, 33 times before the age of 17 and drugs and addictions and just I was a troubled teenager.
[00:24:22] And as I was growing up, this, this lady, her name was Kathy, she lived in our neighborhood.
[00:24:28] And you know, you could always come to her house and get a pbj.
[00:24:36] If you're hungry, you could always come and she'll dig through her pantry and just share something with you. So she had just a few simple rules, like no drinking, no smoking, no cussing in her house. But you were always welcome. And she created the safe place. And I found myself, like, reflecting back at my life and realizing the level of impact she made on me because, you know, in reality, you know, I messed up. The other time, I was preaching that 50 years from now, no one's going to be here. 80 years from now, we're not going to be here.
[00:25:11] But what people will remember is the way we made them feel.
[00:25:16] People will remember is the way we. We loved.
[00:25:19] And so she. She would, you know, I would come. Come to her house. And sometimes, you know, I come to her house high.
[00:25:27] Sometimes I would come to her house because I was hungry. Sometimes I would come to her house because I was running from cops. And I. I didn't tell her that on purpose, but she always paused for you and made you feel welcome. And the last time we saw each other, I was in a really bad place. And she actually just embraced me and prayed for me before I left.
[00:25:48] And so we haven't seen each other for decades.
[00:25:51] And someone was asking me about, you know, my teenage years and some of the impact that, you know, people made on my life. And I was talking about Kathy just two weeks ago with Liza and, you know, sharing about how great she was and how she impacted my life. And I'm like, wow, she probably doesn't even know the level of impact that she made.
[00:26:13] And so on July 3rd, we came for a, you know, Fourth of July celebration. Fireworks show and battleground. And we're walking through a crowd. 20,000 people went through that, through that festival that day. And through the crowd, a lady runs up to me and she's saying Roman with tears in her eyes. And it was Kathy.
[00:26:32] Throw a picture of Kathy on the screen if you can. There's Kathy in the red shirt right there.
[00:26:40] One of my heroes who did something maybe small and insignificant. And little did she know that the way she served me would carry that level of impact.
[00:26:57] I don't know if you guys have heard of Billy Graham.
[00:27:06] Billy Graham was impacted by Mr.
[00:27:11] Mordecai Ham, who was faithful to preach the gospel. He was like a street evangelist, did a small outreach, and I don't know, but maybe 30, 40 people would come. It didn't have that level of impact or significance, but he was faithful to do what God called him to do. And one day, Billy Graham, when he was 16 years old, you can throw up some of those slides. He was 16 years old, he's walking through and he hears the gospel being preached.
[00:27:40] And he says, for the first time, my natural response was to get on my Knees. I never got on my knees for anybody.
[00:27:47] And he said, I fell to my knees and I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ at 16 years old because of Mr. Ham.
[00:27:55] Mr. Ham didn't know that while he was stewarding a small little ministry and faithfully preaching the gospel, that he would impact a Billy Graham who was going to impact probably the most amount of people with the gospel and meet with presidents and have such a massive influence and impact on somebody else.
[00:28:16] You know, Mother Teresa, many of you know that name. She has this quote, says, not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love. And I know I'm repeating this, but I think we miss the small things.
[00:28:31] We miss the significance of small things.
[00:28:35] Billy Graham would say, God gave us two hands, one to receive and the other one to give.
[00:28:45] Mother Teresa also said, a life lived for others is not a life.
[00:29:01] Which one?
[00:29:03] A life not lived for others is not a life at all. What? How did I say, oh, thanks, Vic.
[00:29:17] That would have been misused on our livestream channel.
[00:29:22] There's so many more.
[00:29:25] I kind of took so many heroes. The pattern in this story is that all these people were impacted by someone like Kathy, someone who made their life and mission to serve other people, to love other people, to do the small things faithfully and to. And to serve people as bond, servants. And the last few people I want to highlight, maybe you guys heard of John and Charles Wesley.
[00:29:54] John and Charles Wesley were born in the 1700s. They, you know, led a great awakening, spiritual awakening in England.
[00:30:05] And thousands, hundreds of thousands of people were impacted by their life.
[00:30:12] John Wesley wrote over 40,000 sermons.
[00:30:19] He had such a conviction to preach the gospel, I think the Great Awakening, right, the movie, such a conviction. And he wasn't really received by the church. He would make his pulpit on the streets and in different places and he would preach.
[00:30:34] And his brother wrote over 6,000 hymns, 6,000 songs that would touch the world of their day, touch hundreds and thousands of people. And it's still talked about today.
[00:30:49] But you know who the hero of their story is? A name you wouldn't know.
[00:30:58] It was their mom. His mom. Their mom, her name was Susanna Wesley.
[00:31:05] She had 19 children.
[00:31:11] And you know what she did faithfully?
[00:31:14] She prayed with them, read the scriptures with them, imparted faith into them and loved them and led them to Christ.
[00:31:23] Can you imagine 19 kids and you had to, like, there was no diapers in that time, 1700s. So imagine like every time they go, you gotta, you gotta do the whole process.
[00:31:34] You know, if you have kids. You know what I'm talking about.
[00:31:37] But even though she was doing something like this, maybe it felt at times insignificant.
[00:31:43] Maybe it felt like, man, I'm always busy. I don't even know if I'm fulfilling the call of God. I don't even know if I'm making a difference, if I'm making an impact. When you're serving people, you're making a difference.
[00:31:58] And she probably had no clue that the way she was parenting her kids, the way she was loving her kids, the way she was faithful to lead them to Christ would lead to that level of impact.
[00:32:16] I want to tell you something. God is counting.
[00:32:21] God sees.
[00:32:25] And what he's introducing to us in Philippians is, is actually maybe the higher road of greatness looks lower.
[00:32:39] I believe that some people will step into eternity with such rewards.
[00:32:48] They will be surprised and shocked at the rewards that they will step into in eternity because their names were not known here.
[00:33:00] And the Wesleys would attribute the, you know, their success to their mom and what she's done for them.
[00:33:12] In both Corinthians and Romans, Corinthians 12 and, and Romans, it talks about spiritual gifts and it, and it, and it says that the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the profit of others.
[00:33:29] In other words, your, your, you don't need to find your gifts.
[00:33:34] Your gifts will find you when you begin to serve people.
[00:33:40] A lot of times what we, what we do is we become selective in serving, in becoming a bond servant. We become so selective that we will say things like, well, I just don't think that's my calling.
[00:33:56] Like, oh, hey, like, we need, we need people to sign up to serve at kids camp. I just don't, I don't think that's my calling.
[00:34:03] I, I think your flesh doesn't think that's your calling, but scripturally, I think that's your calling to, to be a bond servant, to respond to need and to give your life to serve other people the way that Jesus did.
[00:34:23] And I, I think if we see this the right way, what happens is we begin to see people differently. Because when you're serving a child in the kids ministry or you're just loving on someone in, you know, crew youth, or you come and volunteer at the kids camp, it's the small things you do, and you have no idea who's standing in front of you.
[00:34:47] That, that, that could be the next Billy Graham.
[00:34:50] That could be the next Wesley's, that you, you, you. You have the chance to impact their life through service.
[00:35:01] Would you stand to your feet with me.
[00:35:24] In John 13, Jesus takes off his robe and, and ties a towel around his waist, and he gets low, he gets on his knees and he begins to wash the feet of the disciples.
[00:35:45] Now, that shocked their culture because. Because no teacher, no master would do such a thing. That represented the lowest position of a servant in the house.
[00:35:57] That's why Peter got so uncomfortable, when Jesus got so low in front of Peter to wash his feet. And he says, oh, you'll never wash me. And Jesus says, if I don't wash you, you will never be clean.
[00:36:11] He was referring to the blood that he was going to spill on the cross, the cross and even the garments.
[00:36:16] It's the incarnation. It's the picture of the incarnation. God takes off his robe, his status to be served, and puts a towel around his waist and doesn't stop being God.
[00:36:31] And then he says, you don't understand this now, but you will understand.
[00:36:36] And he says, and if I, one that has the name of God, one that is God, that became flesh, if I, with this status, with this position, with. With this entitlement, if I have done this for you, you go and do the same.
[00:36:58] What a call, what a life.
[00:37:04] That's not what culture preaches today about being influencers and having followers and, you know, having positions and titles and all of these things. And, and. And we kind of secretly crave for that. And sometimes that even gets into our way of thinking when it comes to ministry, our calling, and serving the Lord, that we miss God in the small things.
[00:37:37] And what I want to invite us into is just in closing, to ask the Holy Spirit what he's saying, what he's saying to me through this message, because it's easy to hear for others. It's easy to hear, you know, a Greek translation of a word or a historic context and be like, wow, that's a new thought. That's a really cool thought.
[00:38:01] But what is the Holy Spirit saying to me? What is he asking me to do?
[00:38:10] And I want to challenge you. Maybe your followers got in the way of you being a bond servant. Maybe the amount of money you have on your bank account is getting in the way of you being low before God and being a bond servant. Whatever it is that's getting in the way that makes you feel entitled.
[00:38:31] Where you stop living this way, taking on the form of a bond servant like Christ, you've. You've got off the road of greatness.
[00:38:43] And I believe that Jesus wants you and I to be great and to do great things.
[00:38:50] And he showed us the way, the road to greatness. So would you, in this time of worship, would you just take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit and respond to Him? What are you saying to me?
[00:39:02] Where are areas of my heart that need to be realigned?
[00:39:07] Where are areas of my life where this mind that was in Christ needs to be in me? Holy Spirit, renew my mind.
[00:39:15] Show me those areas is in Jesus name. Amen.
